The hunting area also includes (map, pdf): Lapland, with the exception of Enontekiis, Inari and Utsjoki, and the sea areas along the E8 motorway in the municipalities of Tornio, Keminmaa, Kemi and Simo. Northern Ostrobothnia, except the municipality of Hailuoto and the sea areas along the E8 motorway in the municipalities of Ii, Kalajoki, Kempele, Liminga, Lumijoki, Oulu, Pyhäjoki, Raahe and Siikajoki. However, hunting is permitted in the area between the E8 motorway and regional road 813.
The season starts at 12.00. Limit: 1 bean goose / hunter. Baiting is forbidden. Hunting from fields is forbidden. Mandatory harvest report.

Under section 8 of the Government Decree on Derogations Laid down in the Hunting Act (452/2013)
Exception: Females with cubs and cubs younger than one year are protected.
A special licence referred to in subsection 3 of section 41a of the Hunting Act may be granted for capturing or killing a bear.
