Licence administration is included in the public administration tasks of the Finnish Wildlife Agency laid down in the Game Administration Act.
Typical licence administration matters include tasks such as processing hunting licence applications for moose hunting and deciding upon the applications. In addition to these, the Finnish Wildlife Agency is also responsible for making exceptions to closed seasons for game species and processing licence matters regarding prohibited hunting methods and gear.
Licence matters are processed in regional offices of the Finnish Wildlife Agency to which the applications should be sent.
