A large number of public administration tasks have been laid down to The Finnish Wildlife Agency in the Game Administration Act. These tasks are carried out by public administration process. Director for Public Administration Tasks is responsible for managing this process and carrying out the tasks.
Processing hunting licences and special licences is probably the most familiar public administration task for hunters. The Finnish Wildlife Agency also takes care of group insurance for hunters and appoints the officers, such as shooting test examiners, in game management associations.
